Amazing performances in the National Championships in Kuopio
September 8th, 2024
The 2024 Finnish Championships were held on September 7–8 in Kuopio, and Aerial Unlimited’s representatives once again achieved excellent results. The competition provided memorable moments for both athletes and supporters.
In the Junior A category, Ella Anttila delivered a strong performance, securing bronze with a total score of 108.133. This third-place finish was a great achievement in a competitive field.
In the Junior B category, Iida Sulonen emerged as the shining star of the competition, winning the gold medal with an impressive score of 139.700. Sulonen’s performance was the best of the event, standing out for both its technical and artistic quality. Maikki Flygare narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth with a score of 113.033. Maria Manner placed fifth with 99.433 points.
Aerial Unlimited's coaches and athletes can be proud of their success, and now all eyes are on the upcoming World Championships, which will take place from November 28 to December 1 in Cesenatico, Italy. Four of the club's athletes have earned a spot at the World Championships due to their outstanding performances this year. Iida Sulonen and Ella Anttila secured their places in the competitive divisions with these results, while Lilli Luukkaa and Hilma Nurmi earned their places in the recreational divisions earlier this year.
Congratulations to all the girls for their amazing performances!
